TRAFFIC/SPEED LIMITS:  Repeals provisions relative to speed limits on I-10 in St.
Tammany Parish
AN ACT1
To repeal R.S. 32:63.1, relative to speed limits; to repeal provisions relative to speed limits2
on Interstate 10 in St. Tammany Parish.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1.  R.S. 32:63.1 is hereby repealed in its entirety.5

Abstract: Repeals provisions providing for speed limits on I-10 in St. Tammany Parish.
Present law requires DOTD to declare maximum speed limits on the westbound lanes of I-10
in St. Tammany Parish and adjacent areas when hazardous driving conditions exist because
of fog and there is visibility of 1,000 feet or less. Requires DOTD to erect signs and flags
notifying the traveling public of the speed limits.
Proposed law repeals present law.
