Lambert	HB No. 45
Abstract: Provides that crab traps are not required to be marked with floats and float lines
in the freshwater areas of the state, unless they are placed in a lake.
Present law requires each crab trap to be marked with a float and float line unless that trap
is placed in an area designated as freshwater north of the northern bank of the Intracoastal
Waterway and west of La. Hwy. 70.
Proposed law removes the requirement for a float and float line on traps in areas designated
as freshwater, unless the trap is placed in a lake.
