ACT No. 223 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 45 BY REPRESENTATIVE LAMBERT AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 56:320(B)(3), relative to taking of crabs; to remove the2 requirement for a crab trap to have a float and float line if the trap is placed in certain3 locations of the state; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 56:320(B)(3) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6 ยง320. Methods of taking freshwater or saltwater fish7 * * *8 B.9 * * *10 (3) Crabs or stone crabs may be taken with any legal crab trap, crab dropnet,11 trawl, skimmer net, butterfly net, hoop net, trotline, handline, bushline, dip net, or12 cast net. A dredge shall not be used for the intentional taking of crabs.
