ACT No. 478 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 544 BY REPRESENTATIVE PUGH AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 33:3813.2(C)(2), relative to Tangipahoa Parish; to provide2 relative to the Tangipahoa Water District; to increase the amount of per diem paid3 to members of the governing board; and to provide for related matters.4 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published5 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of6 Louisiana.7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:8 Section 1. R.S. 33:3813.2(C)(2) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:9 ยง3813.2. Tangipahoa Water District10 * * *11 C.12 * * *13 (2)(a) Members of the board of commissioners of the Tangipahoa Water14 District or the expanded Waterworks District Number II of Tangipahoa Parish shall15 be entitled to per diem pay at the rate of one hundred dollars per regular meeting or16 special meeting. Per diem pay shall not be paid for more than twelve special17 meetings per year, and the board of commissioners shall not hold more than two18 regular meetings during any one calendar month.19 (b) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the board of20 commissioners of the Tangipahoa Water District shall be entitled to per diem at the21 rate of one hundred fifty dollars per regular meeting or special meeting.
