PROPERTY: Provides for the transfer of certain property in Calcasieu Parish
AN ACT1
To authorize and provide for the transfer or lease of certain state property in Calcasieu2
Parish to Sidney J. and Sherilyn M. Cormier from the division of administration; and3
to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. The commissioner of administration, notwithstanding any other provision6
of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease,7
and deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have to the following8
described properties consisting a combined acreage of approximately 0.3581 acres to Sidney9
J. and Sherilyn M. Cormier:10

Section 2. The commissioner of administration, on behalf of the state of Louisiana,14
is hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations15
and to execute such documents as are necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance,16
transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the properties17
described in Section 1 herein, and as more specifically described in any such agreements18
entered into and documents executed by and between the commissioner of administration19
and Sidney J. and Sherilyn M. Cormier, in exchange of consideration proportionate to the20
appraised value of the property.21
Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not22
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature23
by the governor, as provided in Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If24
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become25
effective on the day following such approval.26
