HOUSE BILL NO. 704
BY REPRESENTATIVE ST. GERMAIN
PROPERTY/PUBLIC:  Authorizes the transfer of certain state property in Iberville Parish
AN ACT1
To authorize and provide for the transfer or lease of certain state property in Iberville Parish2
to the Cora Texas Manufacturing Company, L.L.C., from the division of3
administration; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. The commissioner of administration, notwithstanding any other provision6
of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease,7
and deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have to the following8
described properties to the Cora Texas Manufacturing Company, L.L.C.:9
Parcel 1: State owned land identified in the northwest quarter of Section 14,10
T11S, R13E, Iberville Parish, Louisiana containing 55 acres, more or less, lying 11
Parcel 2: State owned land identified in the northwest quarter of Section 14,12
T11S, R13E, Iberville Parish, Louisiana containing 82 acres, more or less, lying13
north of Miles Road and west of Bayou Sigur.14
Section 2. The commissioner of administration, on behalf of the state of Louisiana,15
is hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations16
and to execute such documents as are necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance,17
transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the properties18
described in Section 1 herein, and as more specifically described in any such agreements19
entered into and documents executed by and between the commissioner of administration20 HLS 10RS-67	ENGROSSED

and the Cora Texas Manufacturing Company, L.L.C., in exchange of consideration1
proportionate to the appraised value of the property.2
Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not3
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature4
by the governor, as provided in Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If5
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become6
effective on the day following such approval.7
