AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 22:2302(E) and (F), relative to the Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance2
Corporation; to require such corporation to provide certain information to applicants3
for coverage; to require the corporation to provide a disclosure statement with each4
policy issued; to require the corporation to write business with licensed managing5
general agencies; and to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. R.S. 22:2302(E) and (F) are hereby enacted to read as follows: 8

E. The corporation shall include a disclosure statement with each application11
and policy which notifies the policyholder that they may obtain a list of insurance12
producers and insurance companies that may be able to write their insurance13
coverage in the private insurance market. This disclosure shall be on a separate page14
from the policy and shall be distinctly labeled in fourteen point or larger type size.15
The disclosure shall include a description of the specific method of accessing the16
Louisiana Department of Insurance website including the website address. The17
disclosure shall also include a list, from the website of the Department of Insurance,18
of the insurance companies referenced above.19 ENROLLEDHB NO. 706

F. The corporation shall be required to write business with properly licensed1
general agencies operated by insurance companies who write business through2
exclusive insurance producers.3
