Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 731 BY REPRESENTATIVE PUGH PUBLIC RECORDS: Provides a public records exception for certain confidential reports made to the Board of Ethics AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 44:4.1(B)(25), relative to public records exceptions; to provide2 a public records exception for certain confidential reports to the Board of Ethics; and3 to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 44:4.1(B)(25) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6 ยง4.1. Exceptions7 * * *8 B. The legislature further recognizes that there exist exceptions, exemptions,9 and limitations to the laws pertaining to public records throughout the revised10 statutes and codes of this state. Therefore, the following exceptions, exemptions, and11 limitations are hereby continued in effect by incorporation into this Chapter by12 citation:13 * * *14 (25) R.S. 42:6.1, 57, 1111, 1116.1, 1141, 1158, 116115 * * *16 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not17 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature18 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. Proposed law establishes a public records exception for such confidential reports. Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action. (Amends R.S. 44:4.1(B)(25))
