Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 733 BY REPRESENTATIVE ANDERS PETROLEUM/OIL-GAS: Authorizes participation in sequestration of carbon dioxide programs AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 3:1221, relative to the sequestration of carbon dioxide; to authorize2 participation in programs; to provide for the state's participation; and to provide for3 related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 3:1221 is hereby enacted to read as follows:6 ยง1221. Sequestration of carbon dioxide; emissions of carbon dioxide and other7 greenhouse gases8 A. The commissioner is authorized to take all action necessary to ensure9 Louisiana's participation, to the fullest extent practicable, regarding the sequestration10 of carbon dioxide or the offsetting of emissions of carbon dioxide and other11 greenhouse gases for agriculture and forestry.12 B.
