Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE BILL NO. 736 BY REPRESENTATIVE ABRAMSON GAMBLING/REVENUES: Provides for payment of the casino support services contract AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 27:270(A)(2)(c), relative to deposit of revenues from the official gaming2 establishment; to provide for the transfer of revenue to compensate the parish where3 the official gaming establishment is located for rendering support services; and to4 provide for related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 27:270(A)(2)(c) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7 ยง270. Deposit of revenues; expenditures and investments authorized; transfer of8 revenues to state treasury; corporation operating account; audit of9 corporation books and records; audits10 A.11 * * *12 (2)13 * * *14 (c) Quarterly, the corporation shall transfer to the governing authority of the15 parish where the official gaming establishment is located an amount not to exceed16 nine hundred thousand dollars. These monies shall first be credited to the Bond17 Security and Redemption Fund in accordance with Article VII, Section 9(B) of the18 Constitution of Louisiana. Present law provides for the operation of a land-based casino in Orleans Parish. Present law further provides for the distribution of revenue from the operation of the land- based casino. Proposed law provides that quarterly, the corporation shall transfer to the governing authority of the parish where the official gaming establishment is located an amount not to exceed $900,000. The monies shall be used to compensate the parish for the cost to the parish for providing support services resulting from the operation of the official gaming establishment.
