APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of certain judgments
against the DOTD
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2010-2
2011 to be used to pay the consent judgments in the suit entitled "Joseph Gaspard3
and Maureen Gaspard v. Kansas City Southern Railway Company, Avoyelles Parish4
Police Jury and Louisiana DOTD" consolidated with "Robyn J. McNeal v. Kansas5
City Southern Railway Company, Avoyelles Parish Police Jury" consolidated with6
"David Paul Oxford and Kathleen Marie Oxford v. Kansas City Southern Railway7
Company, Avoyelles Parish Police Jury and Louisiana DOTD"; and to provide for8
related matters.9
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:10
Section 1. The sum of Eleven Thousand Two Hundred Fifty and No/10011
($11,250.00) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana12
for Fiscal Year 2010-2011 to be used to pay the consent judgment in favor of plaintiffs,13
Joseph Gaspard and Maureen Gaspard, in the suit entitled "Joseph Gaspard and Maureen14
Gaspard v. Kansas City Southern Railway Company, Avoyelles Parish Police Jury and15
Louisiana DOTD" consolidated with "Robyn J. McNeal v. Kansas City Southern Railway16
Company, Avoyelles Parish Police Jury" consolidated with "David Paul Oxford and17
Kathleen Marie Oxford v. Kansas City Southern Railway Company, Avoyelles Parish Police18
Jury and Louisiana DOTD", bearing Numbers 2005-7441-A, 2005-7980-A and 2005-8043-19
A, respectively on the docket of the Twelfth Judicial District Court, parish of Avoyelles,20

Section 2. The sum of Four Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 ($4,500.00) Dollars1
is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year2

in the suit entitled "Joseph Gaspard and Maureen Gaspard v. Kansas City Southern Railway4

Jury and Louisiana DOTD", bearing Numbers 2005-7441-A, 2005-7980-A and 2005-8043-19

Section 4. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2010; if vetoed by the governor22
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,23
