APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT: Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against
the state of Louisiana in the suit entitled "Janelle Ford v. State Farm Mutual
Automobile Insurance Company, et al"
AN ACT1
To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2010-2
2011 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Janelle Ford v.3
State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, Louisiana Department of4
Transportation and Development, Sheri L. Duplessis, and Anthony Duplessis"; and5
to provide for related matters.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. The sum of Two Thousand Two Hundred Fifty and No/100 ($2,250.00)8
Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal9
Year 2010-2011 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Janelle Ford v.10
State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, Louisiana Department of11
Transportation and Development, Sheri L. Duplessis, and Anthony Duplessis", bearing12
Number 54-376, Division "C" on the docket of the Thirty-Fourth Judicial District Court,13
parish of St. Bernard, state of Louisiana.14
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2010; if vetoed by the governor15
and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,16
2010, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later. 17 HLS 10RS-528 ORIGINAL
