AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 56:23, relative to penalties for wildlife and fishery violations; to2
provide for penalties for violations of certain wildlife and fishery provisions; and to3
provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 56:23 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6
ยง23.  Penalty for violations7
Whoever violates any of the provisions of this Part Chapters 1 through 3 and8
5 of this Title for which a penalty has not been otherwise specifically provided shall9
be fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, or10
imprisoned for not less than thirty days, or both penalized as a class one violation as11
provided in R.S. 56:31 and shall pay all court costs.12
