BUDGETARY CONTROL S: Exempts certain organizations from the definition of
nongovernmental organization
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 39:51.1(H), relative to exemptions to the nongovernmental entity funding2
request form; and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1. R. S. 39:51.1(H) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 5

H. Voluntary councils on aging, community water systems, and volunteer9
fire departments are exempt from the requirements of this Section.10

Abstract: Provides relative to exemptions to the nongovernmental entity funding request
form.
Present law requires a nongovernmental entity that is neither a budget unit nor a political
subdivision of the state that is requesting funding from the state through the General
Appropriation Bill, capital outlay bill, or any supplemental appropriation bill to submit
certain information relative to such proposed funding to certain committees. HLS 10RS-1766 ORIGINAL
