HLS 10RS-676 ORIGINAL Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 41 BY REPRESENTATIVE HENRY BURNS CONDOLENCES: Expresses condolences for Charles Milton Johnson A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1 To express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Charles Milton Johnson.2 WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the members of the3 Louisiana Legislature have learned of the death of Charles Milton Johnson on February 1,4 2010; and5 WHEREAS, he was born on June 30, 1932, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Earl and Anna6 Johnson; and7 WHEREAS, he received his undergraduate degree from Miami University of Ohio8 in 1954, and he received his graduate degree in Business Administration from George9 Washington University in 1965; and10 WHEREAS, he was married to Wilma Virginia McMullin in 1956, and of that union11 two children were born; Lee Ann Tauscher and the late Charles M. Johnson, Jr.; and12 WHEREAS, he was a "bulldog" with the heart of a "lion" and was a loyal family13 man, friend, citizen, and patriot; and14 WHEREAS, he loved his family, church, community, and his country and loved God,15 as his faith guided him in all aspects of his life; and16 WHEREAS, he served on the board of directors of Barksdale Federal Credit Union17 for over thirty years, in addition to the Louisiana Credit Union League Board; and18 WHEREAS, he was "Mr. Credit Union" and a champion of the shareholders.19 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby20 express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Charles Milton Johnson, and21 HLS 10RS-676 ORIGINAL HCR NO. 41 Page 2 of 2 does hereby extend enduring appreciation for the pride and honor that this wonderful man1 will forever bring to his family, friends, church, community, and state.2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted3 to the family of Charles Milton Johnson.4 DIGEST The digest printed below was prepared by House Legislative Services.
