CONDOLENCES:  Expresses condolences upon the death of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson
of Shreveport
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson2
of Shreveport.3
WHEREAS, it was with deep regret and profound sorrow that the members of the4
Louisiana Legislature learned of the death of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson of Shreveport on5
Thursday, January 28, 2010, at the age of forty-six; and 6
WHEREAS, born on September 5, 1963, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Elder Robinson7
was the second son of Wade Robinson, Sr., and the late Dorothy P. Robinson; and8
WHEREAS, Elder Robinson attended Fair Park High School, where he was a9
member of the band, and Louisiana State University in Shreveport; and10
WHEREAS, by the time he reached college, Elder Robinson excelled in music,11
mastering the piano, keyboard, and the organ, which became his instrument of choice; and12
WHEREAS, Elder Robinson accepted Christ early in life and was a faithful member13
of Goodwill Baptist Church; and14
WHEREAS, later in life, Elder Robinson joined the Mooringsport Church of God in15
Christ, and in 2003, he became an ordained elder and served as assistant pastor and minister16
of music; and 17
WHEREAS, Elder Robinson was a loving son, devoted father, and beloved citizen18
of the state of Louisiana; and 19
WHEREAS, Elder Robinson is survived by his children, Schuyler and Sierra20
Robinson; his father, Wade Robinson, Sr.; five brothers, Wade Robinson, Jr., Victor21 HLS 10RS-555	ORIGINAL

Robinson, Sterling Robinson, Prince Robinson, and Brian Robinson; one sister, Princess1
Robinson Jones; and an array of extended family members and friends; and 2
WHEREAS, Elder Robinson was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Dorothy3
P. Robinson; and4
WHEREAS, although the death of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson has left a tremendous5
void in his community, his memory shall live on forever in the minds and hearts of all who6
knew and loved him.7
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby8
express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson of9
Shreveport, does hereby recognize and record for posterity his outstanding accomplishments10
and singular contributions, and does hereby extend enduring appreciation for the pride and11
honor that this wonderful man will forever bring to his family, friends, community, and state.12
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted13
to the family of Elder Eric Wayne Robinson. 14
