MENTAL HEALTH: Commends the La. Psychological Association and designates June
10, 2010, as La. Psychological Association Day at the La. Legislature
A RESOLUTION1
To commend the Louisiana Psychological Association for its achievements and to designate2
June 10, 2010, as Louisiana Psychological Association Day at the Louisiana3
Legislature.4
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Psychological Association advances the quality,5
availability, use, and support of psychology through standard-setting, advocacy, education,6
and research to better serve the public; and 7
WHEREAS, the contributions of psychology to health, wellness, productivity, and8
quality of life are widely noted, understood, valued, and utilized by society; and9
WHEREAS, the mission of the Louisiana Psychological Association is to advance10
the field of psychology as a science, as a profession, and as a means of promoting health,11
education, and human welfare; and12
WHEREAS, the men and women of the Louisiana Psychological Association have13
made a difference in the communities throughout this state; and14
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Psychological Association is sponsoring its Legislative15
Day at the Louisiana Legislature on June 10, 2010.16
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the17
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the members of the Louisiana Psychological18
Association for their achievements and does hereby designate June 10, 2010, as the19
Louisiana Psychological Association Day at the Louisiana Legislature.20 HLS 10RS-5316 ORIGINAL

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of the Louisiana Psychological1
Association are hereby commended for their commitment to community service and health2
and achievement and their quest for excellence in all endeavors to the public.3
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted4
to the president of the Louisiana Psychological Association.5
