CONDOLENCES: Expresses condolences upon the death of Gail Mayeux Sayer of
Marksville
A RESOLUTION1
To express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Gail Mayeux Sayer of2
Marksville.3
WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the members of the4
Louisiana House of Representatives have learned of the death of Gail Mayeux Sayer on5
Sunday, June 13, 2010, at the age of sixty-four; and6
WHEREAS, born on January 8, 1946, Ms. Sayer served with distinction as a7
dispatcher for the city of Marksville for approximately seven years; and8
WHEREAS, Ms. Sayer was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ruby9
Nell Moreau Luttrell; and10
WHEREAS, Ms. Sayer left behind a legacy of love to her survivors, including her11
children, Tina Mayeux Best and her husband Terry, Lisa Sayer Russell and her husband12
Clay, and Scott Sayer and his wife, Jennifer; her grandchildren, T.J. Lane Best and Travis13
Heath Best, Haley Lynn Russell and Kasey Gail Russell, and Tanner James Sayer and Kylie14
Camille Sayer; her siblings, Hersey P. Mayeux, Jr., Julius Mayeux , S.J. Mayeux and his15
wife Gail, Allen Mayeux and his wife Gloria, and Annie Mae Stroud; and many nieces and16
nephews; and17
WHEREAS, although the death of Ms. Sayer has left a tremendous void, her memory18
shall live forever in the minds and hearts of all who knew and loved her.19
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the20
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the21 HLS 10RS-5891	ORIGINAL

death of Gail Mayeux Sayer of Marksville and does hereby recognize and record for1
posterity the pride and honor that she will forever bring to her family and friends, the city2
of Marksville, Avoyelles Parish, and the state of Louisiana.3
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted4
to the family of Gail Mayeux Sayer.5
