ENROLLED Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2010 HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 181 BY REPRESENTATIVE JOHNSON A RESOLUTION To express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Gail Mayeux Sayer of Marksville. WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the members of the Louisiana House of Representatives have learned of the death of Gail Mayeux Sayer on Sunday, June 13, 2010, at the age of sixty-four; and WHEREAS, born on January 8, 1946, Ms. Sayer served with distinction as a dispatcher for the city of Marksville for approximately seven years; and WHEREAS, Ms. Sayer was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ruby Nell Moreau Luttrell; and WHEREAS, Ms. Sayer left behind a legacy of love to her survivors, including her children, Tina Mayeux Best and her husband Terry, Lisa Sayer Russell and her husband Clay, and Scott Sayer and his wife, Jennifer; her grandchildren, T.J. Lane Best and Travis Heath Best, Haley Lynn Russell and Kasey Gail Russell, and Tanner James Sayer and Kylie Camille Sayer; her siblings, Hersey P. Mayeux, Jr., Julius Mayeux, S.J. Mayeux and his wife Gail, Allen Mayeux and his wife Gloria, and Annie Mae Stroud; and many nieces and nephews; and WHEREAS, although the death of Ms. Sayer has left a tremendous void, her memory shall live forever in the minds and hearts of all who knew and loved her. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Gail Mayeux Sayer of Marksville and does hereby recognize and record for posterity the pride and honor that she will forever bring to her family and friends, the city of Marksville, Avoyelles Parish, and the state of Louisiana.
