HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 19
BY REPRESENTATIVE DOVE
COMMENDATIONS : Commends the Junior Auxiliary of Houma and encourages
observance of National Junior Auxiliary Week, April 4-10, 2010
A RESOLUTION1
To commend and recognize the Junior Auxiliary of Houma for its generous assistance to2
those in need and to encourage observance of National Junior Auxiliary Week, April3
4 through 10, 2010.4
WHEREAS, the Junior Auxiliary of Houma, a chapter of the National Association5
of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc., represents a serious endeavor on the part of women to be active6
and constructive participants in the community and to assume responsible leadership in7
meeting community needs; and8
WHEREAS, the mission of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc.,9
which was founded in 1941, is to encourage member chapters to render charitable services10
which are beneficial to the general public, with particular emphasis on helping children and11
making a difference in their lives; and12
WHEREAS, the Junior Auxiliary of Houma works actively and tirelessly to carry out13
the mission of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc.; and14
WHEREAS, the Junior Auxiliary of Houma has fifty-five members who each donate15
thirty hours of service annually to the chapter's various projects; and 16
WHEREAS, the significant and effective efforts of Junior Auxiliary members to17
improve the quality of life of their fellow citizens are recognized and applauded during18
National Junior Auxiliary Week.19
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the20
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and recognize the Junior Auxiliary of21 HLS 10RS-2181 ORIGINAL

Houma for its generous assistance to those in need and does hereby encourage all citizens1
to observe National Junior Auxiliary Week, April 4 through 10, 2010, by saluting Junior2
Auxiliary volunteers in Houma and throughout the state and by appropriately recognizing3
the importance of their contributions and their presence in Louisiana.4
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted5
to the president of the Junior Auxiliary of Houma.6
