HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 19
BY REPRESENTATIVE DOVE
A RESOLUTION
To commend and recognize the Junior Auxiliary of Houma for its generous assistance to
those in need and to encourage observance of National Junior Auxiliary Week, April
4 through 10, 2010.
WHEREAS, the Junior Auxiliary of Houma, a chapter of the National Association
of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc., represents a serious endeavor on the part of women to be active
and constructive participants in the community and to assume responsible leadership in
meeting community needs; and
WHEREAS, the mission of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc.,
which was founded in 1941, is to encourage member chapters to render charitable services
which are beneficial to the general public, with particular emphasis on helping children and
making a difference in their lives; and
WHEREAS, the Junior Auxiliary of Houma works actively and tirelessly to carry out
the mission of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Junior Auxiliary of Houma has fifty-five members who each donate
thirty hours of service annually to the chapter's various projects; and
WHEREAS, the significant and effective efforts of Junior Auxiliary members to
improve the quality of life of their fellow citizens are recognized and applauded during
National Junior Auxiliary Week.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and recognize the Junior Auxiliary of
Houma for its generous assistance to those in need and does hereby encourage all citizens
to observe National Junior Auxiliary Week, April 4 through 10, 2010, by saluting Junior
Auxiliary volunteers in Houma and throughout the state and by appropriately recognizing
the importance of their contributions and their presence in Louisiana. ENROLLEDHR NO. 19

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the president of the Junior Auxiliary of Houma.
