COMMENDATIONS: Commends Pastor Bennie R. Edison of Comforter Baptist Church
and Alexandria Councilman Edward Larvadain III of District One for hosting the
2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival
A RESOLUTION1
To commend Pastor Bennie R. Edison of Comforter Baptist Church and Alexandria2
Councilman Edward Larvadain III of District One for hosting the 2010 Easter Egg3
Hunt-Carnival.4
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend Pastor Bennie R. Edison of Comforter5
Baptist Church and Alexandria Councilman Edward Larvadain III of District One for hosting6
the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival; and7
WHEREAS, the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival was held on Saturday, April 3, 2010,8
at Harmon Park in Alexandria; and 9
WHEREAS, the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival attracted more than three hundred10
children and their families to share in a wholesome activity that also provided educational11
events to motivate children in this high poverty area; and12
WHEREAS, the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival was a part of Comforter Baptist13
Church's Outreach Ministry, which welcomes residents of the community to the church, and14
the event also allowed residents to meet Councilman Larvadain while he illustrated his15
interest in bettering the community; and 16
WHEREAS, the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival also provided a means for the17

WHEREAS, Pastor Bennie R. Edison and Councilman Edward Larvadain III merit1
a special measure of commendation for the tremendous pride and honor that they bring to2
their family, friends, and community, the city of Alexandria, and the state of Louisiana.3
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the4
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Pastor Bennie R. Edison of Comforter5
Baptist Church and Alexandria Councilman Edward Larvadain III of District One for hosting6
the 2010 Easter Egg Hunt-Carnival, does hereby recognize and record for posterity the7
extraordinary accomplishments and manifold contributions that they have made to the their8
community, and does hereby extend best wishes for the continued success of the Easter Egg9
Hunt-Carnival in the future. 10
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted11
to Pastor Bennie R. Edison and Councilman Edward Larvadain III.12
