COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Vandebilt Catholic High School boys tennis team
upon winning the 2010 District 8-4A championship and the 2010 Class 4A state
championship
A RESOLUTION1
To commend the Vandebilt Catholic High School boys tennis team upon winning the 20102
District 8-4A championship and the 2010 Class 4A state championship.3
WHEREAS, the Vandebilt Catholic High School boys tennis team completed a4
sensational season, earning the title of 2010 District 8-4A champions and 2010 Class 4A5
state champions after defeating Neville High School nineteen to eleven; and 6
WHEREAS, the championship win was the third state tennis championship for the7
Terriers and the culmination of another unforgettable season; and 8
WHEREAS, the members of the team performed at the highest level of excellence9
throughout the tennis season, and each of these great Terriers deserves recognition for his10
vital contributions to the winning effort; and 11
WHEREAS, team members Matt Spence and Jacob Richard were named state12
doubles champions, Philip McMahon and Hayden Bergeron were named state doubles13
runners-up, and Nick Caletri was named state singles runner-up; and14
WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved15
without the guidance and skills of Coach Kevin Ramirez as well as all of the other16
individuals who have contributed to the success of the school's tennis program; and 17
WHEREAS, the team's outstanding 2010 season upholds the glorious tradition of the18
Terriers, and all Vandebilt Catholic High School alumni and fans recognize the immense19
pride and distinguished honor that the team brings to its school, community, and state.20 HLS 10RS-3981 ORIGINAL

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the1
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Vandebilt Catholic High School boys2
tennis team upon winning the 2010 District 8-4A championship and the 2010 Class 4A state3
championship and does hereby extend best wishes to the players, Coach Kevin Ramirez, and4
everyone involved with this fine tennis program as they celebrate their exceptional season5
and prepare for continued success in the future.6
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted7
to Coach Kevin Ramirez.8
