FUNDS/FUNDING.  Increases the portion of the severance tax on timber allocated to the
Forestry Productivity Fund from seventy-five percent to one hundred percent. (7/1/10)
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 3:4411(A), relative to the timber severance tax; to increase the2
portion of the timber severance tax allocated to the state which is dedicated to the3
Forestry Productivity Fund; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 3:4411(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6
ยง4411.  Forestry Productivity Fund; disposition of funds7
A. Funds equal to seventy-five one hundred percent of that portion of the8
severance tax on timber allocated to the state by Article VII, Section 4(D) of the9
Constitution of Louisiana shall be deposited immediately upon receipt into the state10
treasury.11

DIGEST
Present law provides that 75% of the portion of the severance tax on timber allocated to the
state be dedicated to the Forestry Productivity Fund.
Proposed law increases the percentage from 75% to 100%.
Effective July 1, 2010.
