AN ACT1
To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer2
of certain state property in Calcasieu Parish; to provide for the property description;3
to provide for reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and conditions; and to4
provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. The secretary of the Department of Health and Hospitals,7
notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and8
empowered to convey, transfer, assign, and deliver any interest, excluding mineral9
rights, the state may have to all or any portion of the following described parcel of10
property to the Chennault International Airport Authority or the governing authority11
of Calcasieu Parish:12
A certain tract of land, including all improvements located thereon,13
situated and lying in Section 2, Township 10 South, Range 8 West, Calcasieu14
Parish, Louisiana, containing approximately 1.145 acres, more or less, and more15
particularly described as: Commencing at a point North 45 degrees, 28 minutes,16
31 seconds East 298.3 feet from Point "A" as shown on plat of survey of17
boundary agreement of CAFB by D.W. Jessen and Associates, Civil Engineers,18
Lake Charles, Louisiana, dated August 7, 1973, and filed in plat book 23, page19
20 et seq., records of Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana; thence North 45 degrees, 2820
minutes, 31 seconds East 226.85 feet; thence South 44 degrees, 37 minutes, 4421
seconds East 220.0 feet; thence South 45 degrees, 28 minutes, 31 seconds West22
228.0 feet; and thence North 44 degrees, 29 minutes, 09 seconds West 220.0 feet23
to the point of commencement.24
Section 2. The secretary of the Department of Health and Hospitals is hereby25
authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and26
to execute such documents as necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance,27 SB NO. 210 ENROLLED

transfer, assignment, or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the property1
described in Section 1, and as more specifically described in any such agreements2
entered into and documents executed by and between the secretary of the Department3
of Health and Hospitals and the Chennault International Airport Authority or the4
governing authority of Calcasieu Parish, in exchange of consideration proportionate5
to the appraised value of the property.6
