HEALTH CARE. Provides for the membership of the Prescription Monitoring Program
Advisory Council. (8/15/10)
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 40:1005(A), relative to the Prescription Monitoring Program2
Advisory Council; to provide for the membership of the advisory council; and to3
provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 40:1005(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6
ยง1005.  Advisory council7
A. The advisory council shall consist of the following members, each of8
whom may appoint a designee:9
(1)  The president of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.10
(2)  The president of the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry.11
(3)  The president of the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.12
(4)  The president of the Louisiana State Board of Optometry Examiners.13
(5) The president of the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of14
Psychologists.15
(6) (5) The president of the Louisiana Academy of Physicians Assistants.16

Proposed law removes the president of the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of
Psychologists from the council.
Effective August 15, 2010.
(Amends R.S. 40:1005(A))
