(2/3-CA13s1(A)) (1/1/11) A JOINT RESOLUTION1 Proposing to amend Article IX, Section 7(A) of the Constitution of Louisiana, relative to the2 Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission; to change the composition of the3 Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission; and to specify an election for4 submission of the proposition to electors and provide a ballot proposition.5 Section 1. Be it resolved by the Legislature of Louisiana, two-thirds of the members6 elected to each house concurring, that there shall be submitted to the electors of the state, for7 their approval or rejection in the manner provided by law, a proposal to amend Article IX,8 Section 7(A) of the Constitution of Louisiana, to read as follows:9 ยง7. Wildlife and Fisheries Commission10 Section 7.(A) Members; Terms. The control and supervision of the wildlife11 of the state, including all aquatic life, is vested in the Louisiana Wildlife and12 Fisheries Commission. The commission shall be in the executive branch and shall13 consist of seven members appointed by the governor, subject to confirmation by the14 Senate. Six members shall serve overlapping terms of six years, and one member15 shall serve a term concurrent with that of the governor.
