AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 15:529.1(G), relative to the habitual offender law; to provide for2
imprisonment at hard labor for persons sentenced under the habitual offender law;3
and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 15:529.1(G) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6
ยง529.1. Sentences for second and subsequent offenses; certificate of warden or7
clerk of court in the state of Louisiana as evidence 8

G. Any sentence imposed under the provisions of this Section shall be at10
hard labor without benefit of probation or suspension of sentence.11
