SENATE BILL NO. 397

LANDS/WATERBOTTOM.  Authorizes transfer of certain state property to the governing
authority of Caldwell Parish.  (8/15/10)
AN ACT1
To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property in Caldwell Parish; to2
provide for the property description; to provide for reservation of mineral rights; to3
provide terms and conditions; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the6
Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, notwithstanding any other provision7
of law to the contrary, are hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer,8
assign, and deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have to all or9
any portion of the following described parcel of property to the governing authority of10
Caldwell Parish:11
A certain tract of land, including all improvements located thereon, situated in12
Lots One (1) and Two (2) of Block Two (2) of the Alford Subdivision in Section13
42, Township 13 North, Range Four (4) East, as per plat and map on file in the14
Clerk's Office of Caldwell Parish, Louisiana, containing approximately 0.4015
acres, more or less, Parish of Caldwell, State of Louisiana.16

Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, on behalf of the state of Louisiana,1
are hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and2
stipulations and to execute such documents as necessary to properly effectuate any3
conveyance, transfer, assignment, or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the4
property described in Section (1), and as more specifically described in any such5
agreements entered into and documents executed by and between the commissioner of6
administration and the secretary of the Department of Culture, Recreation and7
Tourism and the governing authority of Caldwell Parish, in exchange of consideration8
proportionate to the appraised value of the properties.9
