AN ACT1
To repeal R.S. 13:997, relative to the Natchitoches Parish Law Library Commission; to2
abolish such commission; to transfer the property, assets, and revenues of the3
commission to the Tenth Judicial District Court; and to provide for related matters.4
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  R.S. 13:997 is hereby repealed. 7
Section 2. All books, papers, records, money, actions, revenues, and other property8
of every kind, movable and immovable, real and personal, heretofore possessed, controlled,9
or used by the Natchitoches Parish Law Library Commission are hereby transferred to the10
Tenth Judicial District Court upon the effective date of this Act.11
Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not12
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature13
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If14
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become15
effective on the day following such approval.16 SB NO. 40

Proposed law repeals the authority for the Natchitoches Parish Law Library Commission and
transfers all books, papers, records, money, actions, revenues, and other property of every
kind, movable and immovable, real and personal, heretofore possessed, controlled, or used
by the Natchitoches Parish Law Library Commission to the 10th Judicial District Court.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
