(gov sig) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 17:3123(D), relative to the Board of Regents; to provide that2 certain rules adopted by the board are subject to the Administrative Procedure Act;3 and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 17:3123(D) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง3123. Domicile; organization and meetings of board; rules7 * * *8 D. (1) The board shall adopt rules for the transaction of its business and shall9 keep an accurate record of all of its proceedings and official actions. All papers,10 documents and records appertaining to the board shall be filed at the domicile of the11 board.12 (2) All rules adopted by the board, exclusive of those regulating only the13 internal management of the board's affairs, shall be adopted in accordance with14 the Administrative Procedure Act.15 * * *16 Section 2. Johnston. DIGEST Present law requires the Board of Regents to adopt rules for the transaction of its business and to keep an accurate record of all of its proceedings and official actions. Further requires that all papers, documents, and records appertaining to the board be filed at the board's domicile. Proposed law provides that rules adopted by the board, other than those adopted to regulate the internal management of the board's affairs, must be adopted in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act. Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action. (Amends R.S. 17:3123(D))
