AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 44:4.1(B)(10), relative to public records; to provide relative to2
exceptions to public records law for certain records; and to provide for related3
matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 44:4.1(B)(10) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6

B. The legislature further recognizes that there exist exceptions, exemptions,9
and limitations to the laws pertaining to public records throughout the revised10
statutes and codes of this state. Therefore, the following exceptions, exemptions, and11
limitations are hereby continued in effect by incorporation into this Chapter by12
citation:13

DIGEST
Present law provides exceptions to public records law for certain records.
Proposed law retains present law and further provides relative to an exception for records
of insurance fraud investigations by the section of insurance fraud within the Dept. of
Insurance as provided in present law.
Effective August 15, 2010.
