certain members of the Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee. (gov sig)
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 37:1314(A), relative to the Clinical Laboratory Personnel2
Committee; to provide with respect to certain conditions required for membership3
of certain members of the committee; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 37:1314(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6
ยง1314. Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee; creation; membership;7
qualification; appointment; term; vacancy; officers; meetings; reimbursement8
A. The Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee is hereby created under the9
jurisdiction of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.  The clinical10
laboratory personnel members of the committee shall reflect the rural and urban11
demographics of the state and no more than two clinical laboratory personnel12
committee members shall be domiciled in the same congressional district.13

Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not15
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature16
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If17 SB NO. 545

vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become1
effective on the day following such approval.2

DIGEST
Present law provides that the clinical laboratory personnel members of the committee shall
reflect the rural and urban demographics of the state and no more than two clinical
laboratory personnel committee members shall be domiciled in the same congressional
district.
Proposed law repeals present law.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
