Provides with respect to certain conditions required for certain members of the Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee. (gov sig) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 37:1314(A), relative to the Clinical Laboratory Personnel2 Committee; to provide with respect to certain conditions required for membership3 of certain members of the committee; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 37:1314(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง1314. Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee; creation; membership;7 qualification; appointment; term; vacancy; officers; meetings;8 reimbursement 9 A. The Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee is hereby created under the10 jurisdiction of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. The clinical11 laboratory personnel members of the committee shall reflect the rural and urban12 demographics of the state and no more than two four clinical laboratory personnel13 committee members shall be domiciled in the same congressional district.14 * * *15 Section 2. DIGEST Erdey (SB 545) Present law provides that the clinical laboratory personnel members of the committee shall reflect the rural and urban demographics of the state and no more than two clinical laboratory personnel committee members shall be domiciled in the same congressional district. Proposed law retains present law but increases from two to four the number of members which can be domiciled in the same congressional district. Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
