certain members of the Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee. (gov sig)
AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 37:1314(A), relative to the Clinical Laboratory Personnel2
Committee; to provide with respect to certain conditions required for membership3
of certain members of the committee; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 37:1314(A) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6
ยง1314. Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee; creation; membership;7
qualification; appointment; term; vacancy; officers; meetings;8
reimbursement 9
A. The Clinical Laboratory Personnel Committee is hereby created under the10
jurisdiction of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.  The clinical11
laboratory personnel members of the committee shall reflect the rural and urban12
demographics of the state and no more than two four clinical laboratory personnel13
committee members shall be domiciled in the same congressional district.14

Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not16
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature17 SB NO. 545

by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If1
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become2
effective on the day following such approval.3

Present law provides that the clinical laboratory personnel members of the committee shall
reflect the rural and urban demographics of the state and no more than two clinical
laboratory personnel committee members shall be domiciled in the same congressional
district.
Proposed law retains present law but increases from two to four the number of members
which can be domiciled in the same congressional district.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
