PUBLIC LANDS. Authorizes the transfer of certain state property in Rapides Parish.

AN ACT1
To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property in Rapides Parish; to2
provide for the property description; to provide for reservation of mineral rights; to3
provide terms and conditions; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the6
Department of Health and Hospitals, notwithstanding any other provision of law to the7
contrary, are hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, and deliver8
any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have to all or any portion of the9
following described parcels of property to the governing authority of Rapides Parish:10
A certain tract or parcels of land, including all improvements located thereon,11
described as parcels 4-1, 4-E-1, 4-5, and 4-E-5 as shown on the Bayou Rapides12
Watershed Right of Way Survey of Louis J. Daigre Associates dated July 1962,13
located in Section 115, Township 4 North, Range 3 West, Rapides Parish,14
containing approximately 7.52 acres, more or less.15
Section 2. The commissioner of administration and the secretary of the16
Department of Health and Hospitals, on behalf of the state of Louisiana, are hereby17 SB NO. 68

authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and1
to execute such documents as necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance,2
transfer, assignment, or delivery of title, excluding mineral rights, to the properties3
described in Section (1), and as more specifically described in any such agreements4
entered into and documents executed by and between the commissioner of5
administration and the secretary of the Department of Health and Hospitals and the6
governing authority of Rapides Parish, in exchange of consideration proportionate to7
the appraised value of the properties.8
