A RESOLUTION1 To amend and readopt Senate Rule 13.78(B) of the Rules of Order of the Senate relative to2 testifying before committee hearings.3 BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana that Senate Rule4 13.78(B) of the Senate Rules of Order is hereby amended and readopted to read as follows:5 Rule 13.78. Hearings; persons to be heard; sworn statement; authority to6 compensate7 * * *8 B.(1) Persons desiring to appear before a committee shall notify the9 committee chairman or the committee secretary no later than the beginning of the10 meeting. However, to assure that an opportunity is afforded all persons who desire11 to be heard, the chairman shall inquire at the beginning of the hearing on each matter12 if there are additional persons who wish to be heard. The chairman shall allot the13 time available for the hearing in an equitable manner among those persons who are14 to be heard.15 (2) Each person appearing before a committee shall identify himself and the16 group, organization, or company he represents, if any.
