CONDOLENCES:  Expresses condolences upon the death of Charles Miller, Jr.
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To express the sincere and heartfelt condolences of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the2
death of Mr. Charles Miller, Jr.3
WHEREAS, the legislature has learned of the passing of Charles Miller, Jr., a4
lifelong resident of Jefferson Parish and the beloved husband of Lorraine Coulon Miller; and5
WHEREAS, he was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1968 to 1974 and was6
retired from Delgado Community College, where he worked in the financial aid department7
for twenty years; and8
WHEREAS, he served countless years on various parish committees and boards and9
was very active with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for fourteen years; and10
WHEREAS, he always volunteered at school activities at Immaculate Conception11
School and was an active civic activist, seeking to improve the overall quality of life in12
Jefferson Parish; and13
WHEREAS, the passing of Charles Miller, Jr., will leave a void in the hearts of those14
that he loved and that loved him; and15
WHEREAS, this void will be filled with their cherished memories of him.16
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby17
express its sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Charles Miller, Jr. 18
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted19
