HLS 111ES-368 ORIGINAL Page 1 of 2 First Extraordinary Session, 2011 HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 20 BY REPRESENTATIVE AUBERT CONDOLENCES: Expresses the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Burnell Irvin A RESOLUTION1 To express the condolences of the House of Representatives upon the death of Mr. Burnell2 Irvin.3 WHEREAS, the Louisiana House of Representatives has learned of the passing of4 Mr. Burnell Irvin; and5 WHEREAS, on March 1, 2011, the citizens of Louisiana, particularly the citizens of6 Ascension Parish, lost one of its beloved friends in Burnell Irvin; and7 WHEREAS, Burnell Irvin was born on November 28, 1944, from the union of8 Randolph and Doretha Thomas Irvin; and9 WHEREAS, Burnell was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for Cargill10 Inc., until his retirement; and11 WHEREAS, he was a faithful member of the Hopeful Triumph Baptist Church,12 where he also served as an usher; and13 WHEREAS, he leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife of 38 years, Cynthia14 and his son, Mario and daughter-in-law Nicholl, and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces,15 nephews, and other relatives and friends; and16 WHEREAS, his passing will leave a void in the hearts of those he loved and who17 loved him; and18 WHEREAS, this void will be filled by the fond memories that they all shall cherish.19 HLS 111ES-368 ORIGINAL HR NO. 20 Page 2 of 2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the1 Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express its heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr.2 Burnell Irvin.3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted4 to the family of Burnell Irvin.5 DIGEST The digest printed below was prepared by House Legislative Services.
