First Extraordinary Session, 2011 ENROLLED SENATE BILL NO. 6 BY SENATOR MURRAY AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 4:149.5(B)(1) and 214(A)(4), relative to provisions of Title 42 (Amusements and Sports) of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, which are3 limited in applicability to certain political subdivisions or local areas based upon4 population classifications; to specify applicability to one or more political5 subdivisions or local areas; and to provide for related matters.6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7 Section 1. R.S. 4:149.5(B)(1) and 214(A)(4) are hereby amended and reenacted to8 read as follows: 9 §149.5. Account wagering10 * * *11 B.(1) Notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary, the12 commission shall adopt rules regulating account wagering and shall authorize13 account wagering to be conducted by a licensee operating a pari-mutuel live horse14 racing facility located in any municipality having a population in excess of four15 hundred fifty thousand persons as of the 1990 federal decennial census the city of16 New Orleans.17 * * *18 §214. Offtrack wagering facilities; licensing; criteria; management; appeal of19 license suspension or revocation20 A.
