COMMENDATIONS. Commends Shaunda Netherland on being selected as Louisiana
District Governor for Pilot International for 2011-2012.
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To commend and congratulate Shaunda Netherland on being selected as Louisiana District2
Governor for Pilot International for 2011-2012.3
WHEREAS, Shaunda Netherland will be installed as the Louisiana District Governor4
for Pilot International on April 16, 2011; and5
WHEREAS, Shaunda Netherland is a life long resident of Vernon Parish and wife6
of Louisiana State Trooper Steven Netherland, who have one daughter, Sara Netherland; and7
WHEREAS, Pilot International is a worldwide organization whose main focus is8
helping those with brain related disorders; and 9
WHEREAS, Ms. Netherland is a member of the Leesville Pilot Club which has been10
an active organization in the Leesville/Vernon Parish areas since 1954; and 11
WHEREAS, she is employed by the United States Department of Agriculture, Farm12
Service Agency for over twenty years and works at the Beauregard/Vernon Parish office;13
and 14
WHEREAS, Shaunda Netherland has been an active member of the Leesville Pilot15
Club since June, 2000 and she has served as the club's president-elect and president; and 16
WHEREAS, she has also served the Louisiana District as State Treasurer and17
Governor-Elect; and 18 SCR NO. 24

WHEREAS, Shaunda Netherland's installation will take place during the Louisiana1
District's annual convention being held in Pineville. 2
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby3
commend and congratulate Shaunda Netherland on being selected as Louisiana District4
Governor for Pilot International for 2011-2012.5
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to6
Shaunda Netherland.7
