SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 24

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON
To commend and congratulate Shaunda Netherland on being selected as Louisiana District
Governor for Pilot International for 2011-2012.
WHEREAS, Shaunda Netherland will be installed as the Louisiana District Governor
for Pilot International on April 16, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Shaunda Netherland is a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish and wife of
Louisiana State Trooper Steven Netherland, who have one daughter, Sara Netherland; and
WHEREAS, Pilot International is a worldwide organization whose main focus is
helping those with brain related disorders; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Netherland is a member of the Leesville Pilot Club which has been
an active organization in the Leesville/Vernon Parish areas since 1954; and
WHEREAS, she is employed by the United States Department of Agriculture, Farm
Service Agency for over twenty years and works at the Beauregard/Vernon Parish office;
and
WHEREAS, Shaunda Netherland has been an active member of the Leesville Pilot
Club since June, 2000 and she has served as the club's president-elect and president; and
WHEREAS, she has also served the Louisiana District as State Treasurer and
Governor-Elect; and
WHEREAS, Shaunda Netherland's installation will take place during the Louisiana
District's annual convention being held in Pineville.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend and congratulate Shaunda Netherland on being selected as Louisiana District
Governor for Pilot International for 2011-2012.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Shaunda Netherland.
