SENATE. Designates the week of April 3 through April 9, 2011, as "Junior Auxiliary
Week".
A RESOLUTION1
To designate April 3 through April 9, 2011, as "Junior Auxiliary Week".2
WHEREAS, the Junior Auxiliary of Slidell, Louisiana, a chapter of the sixty-seven3
year old National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc., represents a serious endeavor on4
the part of women to be active and constructive participants in the community and to assume5
responsible leadership in meeting community needs; and6
WHEREAS, the mission of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc., is7
to encourage member chapters to render charitable services which are beneficial to the8
general public, with particular emphasis on children, and to cooperate with other9
organizations performing similar services; and10
WHEREAS, the Junior Auxiliary of Slidell, Louisiana, works actively to perform11
the mission of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc., in Slidell and other12
communities; and13
WHEREAS, the Senate hereby recognizes excellent community service exhibited by14
the Junior Auxiliary of Slidell, Louisiana, sincerely appreciates their efforts, and urges all15
citizens, civic and fraternal groups, news media, and other community organizations to join16
in the salute to Junior Auxiliary volunteers who have been an important presence in the17

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana1
does hereby designate the week of April 3 through April 9, 2011, as "Junior Auxiliary2
Week".3
