PROPERTY: Provides for the transfer of certain property in Washington Parish
AN ACT1
To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer2
of certain state property in Washington Parish; to provide for the property3
description; to provide terms and conditions; to provide an effective date; and to4
provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. The president of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and7
Mechanical College, notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, is hereby8
authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease, or deliver any interest,9
excluding mineral rights, the state may have to all or any portion of the following described10
parcel of property to the Department of Transportation and Development:11

Section 2. The president of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and45
Mechanical College is hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants,46 HLS 11RS-594 ORIGINAL

conditions, and stipulations and to execute such documents as necessary to properly1
effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease, or delivery of title to the property2
described in Section 1, and as more specifically described in any such agreements entered3
into and documents executed by and between the president of Louisiana State University and4
Agricultural and Mechanical College and the secretary of the Department of Transportation5
and Development, in exchange of consideration proportionate to the appraised value of the6
property.7
Section 3. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not8
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature9
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If10
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become11
effective on the day following such approval.12
