AN ACT1
To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer2
of certain state property in Vernon Parish and Jefferson Davis Parish; to provide for3
the property description; to provide terms and conditions; to provide an effective4
date; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. The secretary of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries,7
notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and8
empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease or deliver any interest the state may have to all9
or any portion of the following described parcels of property to the Department of10
Transportation and Development:11
PARCEL 1-212
From a point on the centerline of State Project No. 029-04-0025, at Station13
109+88.41, proceed N00/10'39"E a distance of 31.60 feet to the point of beginning;14
thence proceed N00/10'39"E a distance of 47.39 feet to a point and corner; thence15
proceed S71/31'49"E a distance of 503.09 feet to a point and corner; thence proceed16
along a curve to the left having a radius of 1909.87 feet, whose length is 354.87 feet17
and whose chord length is 354.36 feet and bears S76/51'12"E to a point and corner;18
thence proceed S66/29'17"E a distance of 166.42 feet to a point and corner; thence19
proceed N82/10'35"W a distance of 160.22 feet to a point and corner; thence proceed20
along a curve to the right having a radius of 1954.87 feet, whose length is 363.24 feet21
and whose chord length is 362.71 feet and bears N76/51'12"W to a point and corner;22
thence proceed N71/31'49"W a distance of 488.21 feet to the point of beginning. All23
of which comprises Parcel 1-2 as shown on Sheet 1 of the Right of Way Plans of24
State Project No. 029-04-0025, and contains an area of 42066.6 square feet or 0.96625
acres.26

Project No. 029-04-0025, and contains an area of 2393.7 square feet or 0.055 acres.27
Section 2. The secretary of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is hereby28
authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to29
execute such documents as necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer,30
assignment, lease or delivery of title to the properties described in Section 1, and as more31
specifically described in any such agreements entered into and documents executed by and32
between the secretary of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the secretary of the33
Department of Transportation and Development, in exchange of consideration proportionate34
to the appraised value of the property.35
Section 3. The secretary of the Department of Veteran Affairs, notwithstanding any36
other provision of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and empowered to convey,37
transfer, assign, lease or deliver any interest the state may have to all or any portion of the38
following described parcels of property to the Department of Transportation and39
Development:40
From a point on the certerline of State Project No. 201-01-0013, at Station41
147+96.03, proceed N30/39'29"W a distance of 41.08 feet to the point of beginning;42
thence proceed N30/39'29"W a distance of 8.47 feet to a point and corner; thence43
proceed N53/03'50"E a distance of 4.06 feet to a point and corner; thence proceed44
N59/25'33"E a distance of 70.00 feet to a point and corner; thence proceed45

S59/25'33"W a distance of 74.03 feet to the point of beginning. All of which1
comprises Parcel 10-3 as shown on Sheet 10 of the Right of Way Plans of State2
Project No. 201-01-0013, and contains an area of 659.5 square feet or 0.015 acres.3
Section 4. The secretary of the Department of Veteran Affairs is hereby authorized4
to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to execute such5
documents as necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease6
or delivery of title to the properties described in Section 3, and as more specifically7
described in any such agreements entered into and documents executed by and between the8
secretary of the Department of Veteran Affairs and the secretary of the Department of9
Transportation and Development, in exchange of consideration proportionate to the10
appraised value of the property.11
Section 5. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not12
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature13
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If14
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become15
effective on the day following such approval.16
