PURCHASING:  Repeals provision related to scheduled purchasing by DOTD
AN ACT1
To repeal R.S. 48:1(19) and 204, relative to scheduled purchasing; to repeal provisions2
relating to scheduled purchasing by the Department of Transportation and3
Development; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 48:1(19) and 204 are hereby repealed in their entirety.6
Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not7
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature8
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If9
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become10
effective on the day following such approval.11

Abstract: Repeals provisions of law relative to scheduled purchasing by DOTD.
Present law provides for a definition of "scheduled purchasing".
Proposed law repeals the definition of "scheduled purchasing".
Present law provides for purchasing by DOTD to be scheduled to the extent practicable by
the secretary acting through the assistant secretary offices of DOTD.
Proposed law repeals present law.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
