Frank Bedell, et al" AN ACT1 To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2011-2 2012 to be used to pay the judgment in the suit entitled "Gloria Hotard, Judy3 LaFontaine and Joseph Oubre, Sr., individually and on behalf of their Estate of her4 mother, Bellie Elfer v. Frank Bedell, Custom Bus Charters, Inc. represented by its5 President, Donna BeGovich, and their insurance company, Reliance Insurance6 Company, Casino Magic Corporation and the insurers of Custom Bus Charters, Inc.7 and Magic Corporation" consolidated with "Leila Marie Tassin, Wife of/and Irving8 C. Tassin, Jr. v. Frank Bedell, Custom Bus Charters, Inc. represented by its9 President, Donna BeGovich, Casino Magic and the Insurers of Frank Bedell, Custom10 Bus Charters, Inc. and Casino Magic"; to provide for interest; to provide for court11 costs; and to provide for related matters.12 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:13 Section 1. The sum of Three Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Six Hundred Ninety14 and 36/100 ($376,690.36) Dollars, to be apportioned as follows: One Hundred Twenty-Five15 Thousand and No/100 ($125,000.00) Dollars each to Joseph Oubre, Sr., Gloria Oubre16 Hotard, and Judy Oubre LaFontaine; and One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety and 36/10017 ($1,690.36) Dollars to plaintiffs; plus legal interest from July 21, 1999 until paid, plus court18 costs in the amount of Four Hundred Forty and 25/100 ($440.25) Dollars, is hereby19 appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2011-2012 to20 HLS 11RS-210 ORIGINAL HB NO. 42 Page 2 of 2 be used to pay the judgment in the suit entitled "Gloria Hotard, Judy LaFontaine and Joseph1 Oubre, Sr., individually and on behalf of their Estate of her mother, Bellie Elfer v. Frank Bedell, Custom Bus Charters, Inc.6 represented by its President, Donna BeGovich, Casino Magic and the Insurers of Frank7 Bedell, Custom Bus Charters, Inc. and Casino Magic", bearing Numbers 1999-08086,8 Division K, Section 14, and 1999-07665, Division B, Section 15, respectively, on the docket9 of the Civil District Court, parish of Orleans, state of Louisiana.10 Section 2. The judgment provided for in Section 1 hereof shall be deemed to have11 been paid on the effective date of this Act and legal interest shall cease to run as of that date.12 Section 3.
