AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 34:963 and to repeal R.S. 34:950, 951, 952, 954, and 965,2
relative to bar pilots; to authorize bar pilots to form corporations or limited liability3
companies; to repeal certain provisions relative to bar pilots for the Port of New4
Orleans; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1. R.S. 34:963 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:7
ยง963. Pilot associations8
Bar pilots may, for the furtherance of their interest, form themselves into a9
voluntary private association, or partnership, corporation, or limited liability10
company.11
Section 2. R.S. 34:950, 951, 952, 954, and 965 are hereby repealed in their entirety.12
