MUNICIPALITIES. Authorizes the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center to accept corporate

AN ACT1
To enact Subpart K of Part VI of Chapter 1 of Title 51 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of2
1950, to be comprised of R.S. 51:300.33, relative to the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center3
in Ascension Parish; to provide relative to corporate sponsorship and revenue4
generation; and to provide for related matters.5
Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.6
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7
Section 1. Subpart K of Part VI of Chapter 1 of Title 51 of the Louisiana Revised8
Statutes of 1950, to be comprised of R.S. 51:300.33 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 9

1ยง300.33. Right to sell corporate sponsorships for Lamar-Dixon Expo11
A. The Lamar-Dixon Expo Center is hereby authorized to sell corporate12
sponsorships, including but not limited to event sponsorship, project13
sponsorship, program sponsorship and site sponsorship, to be used and for the14
benefit of any of the facilities and structures located on the center's property.15
B. Any agreement involving corporate sponsorship for the benefit of the16

consideration for such right be paid to the entity which owns the facility. Any1
such agreement shall provide that it shall be approved by the governing2
authority of Ascension Parish before it becomes effective.3

Proposed law authorizes the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center to sell corporate sponsorships for
the benefit of any of the facilities and structures located on the center's property.
Proposed law provides that any agreement involving corporate sponsorships for the benefit
of the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center must provide that all royalty and other payments in
consideration for such right be paid to the entity which owns the facility. Any such
agreement shall be approved by the governing authority of Ascension Parish before it
becomes effective.
Effective August 15, 2011.
