Regular Session, 2011 ENROLLED SENATE BILL NO. 91 BY SENATOR LONG AND REPRESENTATIVE NOWLIN Prefiled pursuant to Article III, Section 2(A)(4)(b)(i) of the Constitution of Louisiana. AN ACT1 To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain local and state property; to authorize the2 transfer of certain local and state property in Natchitoches Parish and St. Landry3 Parish; to provide for the property description; to provide for reservation of mineral4 rights; to provide terms and conditions; and to provide for related matters.5 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7 Section 1. The Natchitoches Parish School Board and the State Board of8 Elementary and Secondary Education, notwithstanding any other provision of law to9 the contrary, are hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease10 or deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the school board and the state may11 have to all or any portion of the following described parcel of property to the12 Natchitoches Parish Police Jury:13 A certain tract of land situated and located in the City of Natchitoches,14 Parish of Natchitoches, State of Louisiana, and described as the Old Central15 Trade School Site located in Block C of the Sibley-Pierson Addition to the City16 of Natchitoches, Louisiana.17 Section 2. The Natchitoches Parish School Board and the State Board of18 Elementary and Secondary Education are hereby authorized to enter into such19 agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and to execute such documents as20 necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer, assignment, lease or delivery21 of title, excluding mineral rights, to the property described in Section 1, and as more22 specifically described in any such agreements entered into and documents executed by23 and between the Natchitoches Parish School Board and the State Board of Elementary24 and Secondary Education and the Natchitoches Parish Police Jury, in exchange of25 consideration proportionate to the appraised value of the property.26 Section 3. The secretary of the Department of Health and Hospitals and the27 SB NO. 91 ENROLLED Page 2 of 3 Coding: Words which are struck through are deletions from existing law; words in boldface type and underscored are additions. commissioner of the division of administration, notwithstanding any other provision1 of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and empowered to convey, transfer, assign,2 lease or deliver any interest, excluding mineral rights, the state may have to all or any3 portion of the following described parcel of property to the city of Eunice:4 A certain tract or parcel of land; containing 11.1 acres, more or less, situated5 in the southwest part of the Town of Eunice, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana,6 being more particularly described as beginning at a point N 0 degrees 08' West,7 50 feet and N 89 degrees, 14' East, 60 feet from the southwest corner of Lot 8 of8 a map of subdivision made for Heirs of Eloi Guillory, dated August 24, 1958,9 signed by Lindsay J. Aucoin, Civil Engineer, thence from said point of10 beginning N 0 degrees 8' West 798 feet, thence N 0 degrees 27.' West, 489.17 feet11 to Ash Avenue, thence N 89 degrees 14' East, 329.8 feet, thence south along a12 projection of the East line of Jake Avenue, 757.78 feet, thence East paral1el to13 the south line of Block 12 of the Suzanne Guillory Addition "B", 460 feet,14 thence southwesterly 960 feet, more or less to point of beginning; and being15 bounded as follows: North by Ash Avenue and St. Anthony Catholic Church,16 southwest by City of Eunice Right of Way adjacent to drainage canal, East by17 St. Anthony Catholic Church, and West by East line of John Street and/or the18 East Right of Way of Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corp., being that property19 which DONOR acquired from The Society of the Roman Catholic Church of the20 Diocese of Lafayette, Louisiana by Act of Donation dated April 9th, 1970 which21 is duly recorded as original Act No. 547776 in the records of the Clerk of Court22 of St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.23 Section 4. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not3 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature4 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.
