Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2011 ENROLLED SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 42 BY SENATOR LONG AND REPRESENTATIVE NOWLIN A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON To commend the St. Mary's High School of Natchitoches baseball team for winning the 2011 Class 1A State Championship. WHEREAS, St. Mary's High School of Natchitoches baseball team completed a championship season with a record of twenty-eight wins and only five loses; and WHEREAS, the St. Mary's High School baseball team completed the magical season with a twenty-three to zero victory in the Class 1A state championship game; and WHEREAS, the Tigers' 2011 season also includes the District 3-1A district championship; and WHEREAS, each member of the team deserves a special recognition for his contributions and for performing at such a high level of excellence throughout the 2011 baseball season; and WHEREAS, the St. Mary's High School baseball team members are Roger Bailes, William Breland, Justin Fredieu, John Gallien, Logan Kyzar, John-William Methvin, Logan Ohnoutka, William Townsend, Regan Kaufman, Johnny Ledet, Steele Merritt, Ryan Metoyer, Sloan Dieter, Mark Gallien, Brandon Kelly, Quinten Rutledge, Nick Takes, Seth Welch, Grant Ingram, Jake LaCaze, Trevor Metoyer, Jacob Murchison, Tyler Roberts, Hunter Bedgood, James Carney, and Tyler McCain; and WHEREAS, the team support staff included manager, Cole Sarpy, and trainers, Hannah Deen and Abbey Martin; and WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved without the leadership, dedication, and instruction of head coach, Jeramie Hale, and assistant coaches, Dennis Breland and Brian Ohnoutka; and SCR NO. 42 ENROLLED Page 2 of 2 WHEREAS, the baseball team upholds the traditions and the championship spirit of St. Mary's High School and makes all the citizens of Natchitoches and Natchitoches Parish, and particularly the St. Mary's High School students, staff, alumni, and fans, proud. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the St. Mary's High School of Natchitoches baseball team for winning the 2011 Class 1A State Championship.
